麺とヌードル　英語での違いは？

☺noodle は　一本の麺

食事中、床に麺一本が落ちた時。。。

to pick up a noodle off the floor 　

☺noodlesは丼などに入っている麺 (全体)

 a bowl of noodles

☺ただし、特定の麺の種類や料理を指すときは単数形でもOK

The area is famous for the ”somen” noodle. 
I bought a premium whole buckwheat noodle at the store. 

では日清カップヌードルは？

Cup Noodles　（英語版）

でした。

複数形ですが商品名の固有名詞であるため単数扱い、

"Cup Noodles has been warming bellies and putting smiles on faces. "

ちなみに、日本で販売されているカップヌードルは

Cup Noodle　（日本語版）

の表記でした。

また、英語圏でも人気な日本のラーメンですが

ramen noodles と言われます。

複数扱いです。"Are ramen noodles bad for health?"

そのまま　Ramen だけでも使われます。

単数扱いです。"Ramen is a Japanese dish."
